Alyx Ayn Arumpac is a documentary filmmaker and producer. Her debut feature documentary Aswang, about former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte′s drug war in Manila, earned 25 awards globally, including the FIPRESCI Prize at IDFA, the Grand Prize at RIDM Montreal International Documentary Festival, the Grand Prize at the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival in South Korea, Best International Feature at Festival Film Dokumenter Jogjakarta, and the Amnesty International Award at Thessaloniki. It is the first documentary to win the grand prizes at both the 44th Gawad Urian Awards and the 68th FAMAS Awards in the Philippines. She is an alumna of the Docnomads Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium, the University of the Philippines, and the Philippine High School for the Arts.
