Alyx Ayn Arumpac is a Filipino nonfiction filmmaker and producer. Her debut film, Aswang, received 25 international awards, including the critics’ prize at IDFA and the grand prizes at RIDM, DMZ, Thessaloniki, and Yogyakarta. In the Philippines, it made history as the first documentary to win Best Film at both Gawad Urian and the Filipino Academy  of Movie Arts and Sciences awards. Her work has been supported by the IDFA Bertha Fund, Aide aux cinémas du monde, Sundance Institute, Berlinale World Cinema Fund, Doha Film Institute, Purin Pictures, SGIFF Southeast Asian Documentary Grant and more. She is an alumna of DocNomads, the UP Film Institute, and the Philippine High School for the Arts. Alongside independent filmmaking, she has directed and produced award-winning documentary episodes for television and digital platforms.
